ABOUT THE BAND

JOYRIDE is not your normal local band. You may recognize the songs we play but we will not play them like the record. Our sideways look at the songs we play has landed us shows at the Bradley Center, Summerfest, festivals, fund raisers and the corner bar and we always bring a visual show to compliment the sounds we play. Since 1999 (and for over 150 shows), Joyride has and continues to bring a fun night of music and nonsense. Enjoy! And don't take us too seriously cuz we don't. We play cuz it's a blast!

News - May 10, 2010: JOYRIDE TO MAKE THIRD APPEARANCE AT SUMMERFEST

JOYRIDE will be performing at Noon on June 30, 2010 at SUMMERFEST on the Classic Rock Stage! This will mark JOYRIDE's third appearance at the BIG GIG on the Classic Rock Stage over the past couple years. More details to follow! Summerfest is the world's largest music festival located at the lakefront in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.

JOYRIDE would like to thank everyone (& there were a lot of you!) who came out to support us at 102.9FM THE HOG's HOUSE BAND SEARCH on Friday at G-Daddy's BBC! Unfortunately JOYRIDE did not win, but we did come in a strong second place, made some new contacts in the music biz, and enjoyed partying with you all! Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you again real soon!

News - September 28, 2009: JOYRIDE A FINALIST IN 102.9FM THE HOG'S HOUSE BAND SEARCH

JOYRIDE has been selected from among hundreds, maybe even thousands of Milwaukee bands (or maybe only 9) as a Finalist in 102.9FM THE HOG's HOUSE BAND SEARCH. Nine bands (including yours truly) will compete throughout October on Friday nights at G-Daddy's BBC on Farwell & North for the coveted title. JOYRIDE humbly asks, begs (whatever it takes) that you come out and support us to help us become THE HOG's House Band for the next year. Dates for JOYRIDE's performances will be announced in the next few days, so please stay tuned and thanks in advance!

The band wishes to thank everyone who came out to see our show at Milwaukee Harley-Davidson on Saturday. While the weather was perfect and the huge stage (& sound) was awesome, the dealership never mentioned to the band that the other festivities (beer, food & bikini bike wash) were cancelled. For that we apologize. None the less, we hope you enjoyed the show!
